Convert PNG to JPG

JPEG does not support transparency. Choose the background color that should replace transparent pixels. Processing happens in your browser; selected file contents are not uploaded.

How to use this tool safely

  1. Check that JPEG is accepted and decide which color should replace any transparent areas.
  2. Choose the PNG, set the background color, and convert it locally.
  3. Inspect the JPEG for halos, changed transparency, small-text artifacts, and final dimensions.

Input, output, and compatibility

Input must be PNG and output is JPEG. JPEG cannot represent transparency, so every transparent or semi-transparent pixel is composited onto the selected background.

What Readyvio verifies

The tool checks the JPEG output type and pixel dimensions. It does not verify a target file-size ceiling; use a maximum-KB tool afterward only if one is required.

Common questions

Why did transparent areas become solid?

Transparency is unsupported in JPEG. The background selector makes the replacement color explicit.

Can I convert without losing any quality?

JPEG encoding is lossy. Use a high-quality source and inspect sharp edges and text after conversion.

Before you submit

The output uses lossy JPEG encoding. Inspect small text and sharp edges before use.
