How to download your own YouTube video
- Paste the public or unlisted YouTube link above and open the video in YouTube Studio.
- Sign in to the Google account that uploaded the video.
- In YouTube Studio, open Content, select the video's menu, and choose Download.
- For a backup of all your uploaded videos, use Google Takeout.
Downloading videos from other channels
YouTube's creator download feature is for videos you uploaded. For videos from other channels, use the Download or offline-viewing control provided by YouTube when it is available for that video, account, and region. Those offline copies remain managed by YouTube.
What Readyvio checks
The tool recognizes standard youtube.com, m.youtube.com, music.youtube.com, Shorts, live, embed, and youtu.be links. It extracts only the 11-character public video ID in your browser. It does not contact a downloader service or upload the link to Readyvio.
Common questions
Can I download a YouTube video that I uploaded?
Yes. YouTube says creators can download MP4 copies of their own uploaded videos from YouTube Studio, subject to account and video restrictions.
Can I download another creator's YouTube video as an MP4?
Not through YouTube's creator download feature. Use YouTube's own offline controls when the video and your account are eligible.
Does Readyvio copy or upload the video?
No. Readyvio only recognizes the video ID and opens the relevant official YouTube page. It does not fetch, copy, store, or proxy the video.
